We have loved our first few weeks of Outdoor Play And Learning (OPAL). We have used our imagination and have been very creative, learning to negotiate and share ideas with each other. We look forward to adding more resources to our OPAL area soon!
P1 have been very busy reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three bears. We have retold the story using character blocks, mixed our own paint to make brown bears and even followed instructions to make our own porridge!
We were very excited today when we had a visit from the Easter bunny! He very kindly met all of our primary children and left a little chocolate egg for every student in the whole school.
P1 enjoyed some time this morning weaving some willow outside on our grass area. We loved wearing our new outdoor all weather suits in the snow! We look forward to playing with the finished structure very soon.
P1 have enjoyed exploring colour mixing. After reading Dear Zoo and Handa’s Surprise, we chose to make either a lion or an elephant mask and have experimented with different paints to mix together to make the colour that we needed.
