What an amazing start to our new topic in P5. We watched a clip from Wallace and Gromit’s Cracking Contraptions and thought about the amazing inventions we use everyday. We were then inspired to think of our own ideas for new inventions. We had some great suggestions such as flying police cars, robots which could make ice cream and even a money making machine! After we designed our inventions, we then thought about the resources we needed and started building. We needed to make some improvements along the way, but when we were finished we were given the chance to present our new inventions in the Dragon’s Den. Some of the dragons were quite scary, especially Patchy the dog! In English, we wrote explanations as to how our inventions worked. We all agreed it was a brilliant start to the new term.
