Maple class enjoyed looking for signs of Autumn. We explored our lovely school grounds together and helped each other to find the items on our list..
Year 7 pupils have learned the difference between natural and synthetic fibres. They learned about the specialist techniques involved in the wool process from fleece to yarn, and used wool yarn to make pom poms.
Today, in Geography we worked in teams and researched physical and human geographical features in Italy.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to our amazing careers event on Thursday for the Year 11 students. It was a fantastic atmosphere and one that the staff and students really enjoyed! 🤩
Today 11L did an experiment in Science. We wanted to find out which material would keep our tea hottest for the longest. We used our thermometers to keep checking the temperatures of the different cups.
In animal care we have been creating dog and cat toys using upcycled materials. This is part of our enterprise project. We would really appreciate any donations of clothing, pillows/cushions or 500ml pop bottles.
Beech children have been learning about the physical geography of Italy – mountains, river and volcanoes – using plasticene. Have you heard of the Appenines, the Alps, the River Po, Mount Etna and Mount Vesuvius? We have!!
