Last week secondary pupil voice students met with professionals to become mental health champions to support peers surrounding social and emotional problems. Students identified barriers to learning and happiness and discussed solutions and strategies to combat negative emotions. Fantastic work.
Yesterday the department of work and pensions came in to deliver a work shop and presentation to some year 10s around traineeships, apprenticeships and T Levels. Fantastic discussion and participation around higher education. Well done.
Hazel class today continued learning about the human body, focusing on their senses. Pupils had to make predictions about what they could smell in each cup. They also had to smell the playdough and guess the scent. Pupils fell into the trap of using their sense of sight to make predictions instead of smell.…

Today in Hazel class we continued our work on rhyming. Rhyming can be a little bit tricky but today Hazel class worked really hard and could match rhyming words and write some of their own. Great work!
