To help celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March 2022, Class 9R have been finding out about women’s history, remembering women’s struggles and focusing on women’s resistance.
We have studied the life of Emmeline Pankhurst, the amazing English political activist who was responsible in organizing the suffragette movement and helping women win the right to vote.
We have had several in depth class discussions about the remarkable women in our own lives and what they do for us on a daily basis. We have talked about the importance of saying “thank you” to these women to show how grateful we are to them and how much we appreciate them.
