Great news, we are now officially registered as an eco-school, which is a step forward in empowering our pupils to help the environment. Since we began our paper recycling programme approximately one month ago we have more than doubled our weekly output. The last collection was 8 1/2 bin liners of scrap paper. We have also collected 76 plastic bread bags from breakfast club and these will be going to a specialist recycling centre. Just imagine if every school in County Durham did this every week ? Then if every child from those schools also did this at home ? We would be saving tonnes of waste from land fill and helping them build life long habits for a better future.
