Today marked the rebirth of our Outdoor Ed area! Thank you to everyone who supported us on the day and helped to make it such a success: the adults – Joan, Daniel, Kevan, Kay and Kevin, John, John, James and the PTA (who kept us hydrated and fed); the pupils (primary and secondary) for for all their energy and hard work. Thank you Morrisons for supplying us with some lovely healthy snacks. Together we created some beautifully crafted wooden bird tables, planted broad beans, strawberries and chives; sowed courgettes, radishes, lettuces, beetroot; potted on coriander, kale and parsley; and sowed a wild flower meadow! An awesome compost bay and bug hotel were also created for us from pallets.
Local Councillors, Joan, Christine and Daniel have been very generous with funding for the area – thank you!
The development of the outdoor education area will be updated on the blog so please keep an eye out and let’s see how much we can grow!
