We have been collecting food to donate to Feeding Families. This morning some of our children helped to deliver the food to a local packing centre ready to be made into hampers for local families. Thank you to everyone who kindly donated.

Just a reminder to come along to the Christmas Fayre tomorrow. Doors open at 1.30 and it would be great to see as many of you as possible. There will be numerous stalls open and there will be lots of products available to buy made by our students as well as stalls ran by the PTA. If anyone could donate cakes or biscuits for the stall that would be great as well.

Last night, our children and their families enjoyed a Pyjama Party whilst watching the Polar Express. A wonderful evening had by all.
With thanks to our PTA The Friends of Croft Community School for filling us with Christmas cheer.
It’s that time of year when we are feeling very festive.
P4 enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree, with Christmas music playing everyone was getting into the spirit of things.
Lots of teamwork was involved and a lot of discussion as to which colour of tinsel to use and the order to do things.
Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Primary children had a fantastic time celebrating the end of their topic with a WOW day.
Parents and carers were invited to join the fun as the children took part in an African drumming session.
Not only did everyone learn new skills they also had great fun too!
A huge “Thank you!” to all of the parents and carers who came to school, your support is much appreciated.

The children in Primary had an exciting afternoon, where they performed their Christmas show to a packed audience.
They all looked the part and the singing was amazing.
In the show, there were children from China, Australia, Malawi and Poland.
The children shared how Christmas is celebrated around the world through words and songs.
Everyone has worked really hard over recent weeks to perfect their lines and learn lots of songs.
A huge “Thank you!” goes to Mrs Levee who orchestrated the whole show.
Please can all donations for feeding families come into school by tomorrow as some staff and students are going to drop the food at the packing centre. Please if you’d like to donate, send anything off the list below (not veg and meat) and it will make such a difference.
Today year 11 students visited New College Durham to hear a presentation from Project Choice about supported internships within the NHS. Some Year 11 students went on to Newcastle College for a tour of the campus and sixth form centre. Here students had a chance to speak with the teachers and support as well as looking facilities.
My favourite film is Sully because it can teach you that if you do become a pilot or any job you do, you can be right. If somebody says you have done wrong and you have done right and it puts you down, don’t let it, you have done your best and that is all that matters. YOU TRIED…
