P3 love trampolining.
Trampolining is a great way to interact and initiate communication.
As a class we use the trampoline in many different way, such as; to support self-regulation, PECS exchange, rebounding, turn taking and maths.
P3 enjoy using our PECS book to request the number of bounces we do and then develop our number skills by bouncing the requested number before stopping.
Article 28 – Every child has the right to an education.
During trampolining we work on our balance and how to move safely around. Mrs Convery sometimes asks us to sit in the middle and practice keeping our balance. She will bounce us trying to knock us off balance, this helps us work on our core strength and balance.
“It is lots of fun!”
We all take it in turns and support each other by standing around the trampoline and cheering for each other.
Article 15 – Every child has the right to meet with other children and to join
groups.
At the end of every session we then have time to relax, lying on the mat or under the blanket and listening to some relaxing music. Mrs Convery will bounce us slowly.
Article 31 – Every child has the right to relax and play.
