Woof Woof
A big thank you to everyone who bought our dog biscuits at the summer fayer. We hope your four legged friends enjoy eating them as much as we enjoyed making them.
Despite all the forecast rain, P2 braved the elements and continued with their trip to Chester-le-Street Riverside Park and we were so glad we did. The sun shone down on us from start to finish, making the visit even more memorable.
Year 6 went to see Toy Story 4 at the Metro Centre to say well done for all their hard work this year and especially during SATs week. For some of the children this was their first time at the cinema and they thoroughly enjoyed it – the sad, funny, happy, exciting and scary bits! Thank you to Mrs Kennedy for organising the trip and to the PTA for paying for it.
Primary are enjoying OPAL, especially in this warm weather.
We love exploring all the different equipment, building dens, using our imaginations and role playing.
Primary are working hard to achieve the different learning goals. We are working on our communication by sharing ideas and then a lot of co-operative work turning the ideas into structure.
Today has been even more special with the arrival of two new boats, we enjoyed sailing around the world and battling with pirates.
At the end of every playtime primary work together as a team to tidy the yard and make sure everything is tidied away into the shed.
P5 had a great time learning outdoors. They were given a scavenger hunt challenge and were given a list of items to find in the outdoor area.
The children could choose to work alone or with a friend and they were keen to find all of the items on the list. The children needed to explain what they had found and what uses the objects had.
On the list was to find something interesting and Mrs Kennedy was thrilled to be handed a very fast moving black beetle!! The children also needed to find something a fairy or goblin could use-we had some amazing ideas!
What an imaginative class we are!!
