In Science we investigated how electrical conductors and insulators work. We were demonstrated how they work and then we had time to have a go on our own! We were so thrilled to be able to create our very own circuit!
Directions for Birch?
We have practiced our directions in our Maths lesson today!Learning our left and right and making sure wecan followinstructions. We tried so hard! Ask your child about directions, I’msure they’ll be able to impressyou, just like they did with us.
Science Investigation for Birch
For our Science lesson this week we investigate Thermal indicators and Thermal conductors. We did this by experimenting with hot chocolate in 4 different cups that were made out of different materials. We predicted what we thought was going to be the best option. It was super impressive to see how engaged and interested all the children were.
Making Biscuits
We are becoming master bakers in Maple class!
We made some lovely crunchy pig shaped biscuits to end our time reading ‘The Three Little Pigs’.
Autumn Hunt
Maple class enjoyed looking for signs of Autumn.
We explored our lovely school grounds together and helped each other to find the items on our list..
Year 7 Textiles. The wool process.
Year 7 pupils have learned the difference between natural and synthetic fibres. They learned about the specialist techniques involved in the wool process from fleece to yarn, and used wool yarn to make pom poms.
Physical and Human Geography in Italy!
Today, in Geography we worked in teams and researched physical and human geographical features in Italy.
