Rhyming in Hazel
Today in Hazel class we continued our work on rhyming.
Rhyming can be a little bit tricky but today Hazel class worked really hard and could match rhyming words and write some of their own.
Great work!

This week Hazel class started learning about the human body.
As a baseline we labelled the body parts of Miss Wilson and Miss Brannan.
Pupils labelled internal and external body parts, we then discussed our answers as a group.
Next week we are going to learn about the role of certain body parts.
Hazel class introduced the new topic last week ‘Exploring our World’.
This term we will be exploring the natural world around us, focusing on Animals including Humans so we all dressed up as different animals.
We spoke about the different types of animals, created animal pictures, danced like animals and researched facts about our chosen animal.
Well done Hazel class, we all had a great day!
A huge thank you to the PTA who have raised funds to enable us to have some picnic benches and tables put onto the school MUGA. It was great to see so many pupils using them already and they are a great addition to the school, helping pupils to socialise and develop their skills during break and lunch times.
Brilliant work PTA and if any other parents or carers would like to be involved come along the the PTA meeting on 17th May at 2:00. Thanks again from all the staff and pupils.
Please see the letter below about the Jubilee celebrations we will be having on the 26th May.
Should you have any questions please contact school.
For Geography we started to learn about weather as well as climate and the difference between the two. The children had to choose between the climate area (Mrs Devlin) and weather area (Mrs Kennedy) after reading statements. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at the worlds climate zones.
