Morning Everyone
We are just drawing breathe after our first week back and coming to terms with new timetables, different rooms, new equipment and so forth! It’s great to be back and for the first time in a couple of years things feel normal.
On another note we are trying to develop the school garden and have decided to collect the It’s time to grow’ vouchers from Morrisons. I’ve included a link below with more information but the more vouchers we collect the more equipment we can purchase. So, if you shop at Morrisons, please can you collect the vouchers and submit them to the website. We are registered as ‘Croft Community’
Thank you very much.

Hazel class have had a fantastic start to the new school year.
Pupils have settled back into school brilliantly.
We have worked together, introducing ourselves to our new friends, worked on turn taking and sharing.
We spoke about the adventures we had over the summer and our likes and dislikes.
Hazel class enjoyed Maths cookery with Mrs Buddin on Friday and made some yummy cupcakes.
We visited the different areas of our school and really enjoyed exploring in the outdoor learning area.
On Monday we introduced our topic for the term ‘Footprints from the past’ and in particular our focus on The Stone Age.
To introduce the topic we discussed what we thought the topic might be about. We then became hunter – gathers for the morning.
We explored the school hunting for resources we could use to create cave painting.
Hazel class managed to find berries, vegetables, leaves and mud.
We then went back to class and used pestle and mortars to mix our berries to create paints.
In the afternoon we spoke about how we know about events that happened so long ago.
Hazel class then became archaeologists digging for fossils and creating our own fossil prints.
Brilliant first week back Hazel class. Well done!
These are some of the activities that the Maple Pupils have been doing in class this week so far.
Please find attached the protocols for home-to school transport we have been asked to share.
Hi
A long break for the Bulletin which is going through a bit of a change in look and frequency.
We are moving to a monthly update so a bit like the weekend newspaper it will be a longer read. Also it’s in a pdf format to make it a little easier to read through.
Hope you enjoy and find it helpful.
Regards
LMI
