Mental Health Awareness week 80 (Article 3,6,12,15,19,23,24,28,31)
As part of Mental Health Awareness week the focus was nature and the pupils in 80 have had the opportunity to participate in something that makes them happy and increases their self esteem to ensure they are happy. Mrs Devlin went through a range of activities and ideas of things they could do to increase their mental health such as going for a walk in the woods, bike ride, baking, gardening and exercise. We made bird feeders on pine cones and took them outside to hang on the tree beside the MUGA so they can see them at break times. we spent time listening to the sounds of nature and looked at the clouds to make objects or faces. Then they enjoyed choice time of their choice. Jason made himself a toastie has he wanted to increase his life skills and independence in the kitchen. Bobby helped water the class sunflowers that they have been growing as part of well being.
Mental Health Awareness Week
To finish our Mental Health Awareness Week Hazel class decided to have a wellbeing breakfast.
We started our morning with some dance exercises to wake our bodies and minds up.
After this we all came together for breakfast and discussed things we enjoyed doing this week, something we would like to do more of and our plans for the weekend.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Eco Warriors 80 (Article 3,4,12,`3,23,25,28)
Pupil’s in 80 announced in assembly to the other classes that the new Eco warrior team would be coming round delivering recycling bins for them to use and follow the guidelines on them. Bobby, the Eco team leader delivered a brilliant speech (at the doorway) and ensured everyone was aware that only paper and cardboard must go into the bin and other products that are finished with should go into the original bin. Bobby reminded them that as an incentive each class has a chart and if they follow the rules when the bin is emptied and checked they get a tick and if not a cross on the chart. At the end of each term the class with the most ticks on their chart will receive a prize from the Eco Warrior team.
Home Learning Stars
Two of Hazel class boys went home with their glass stars today that they made with Miss Oliver.
Well done boys for all your hard work and a big thank you to Miss Oliver for helping them make their beautiful stars.
Geography in Hazel
Following on from last week Hazel class explored Italy some more.
This week we compared a traditional English style breakfast and a traditional Italian style breakfast.
For most of the pupils in Hazel class trying new food can be a challenge, but today every pupil tried the different food and enjoyed it.
6 pupils said they liked the Italian style breakfast the most and 1 pupil voted for the English breakfast.
Well done Hazel class we are super proud of you all!
