We have had Wood Book Day on the 7th of March. We all put so much effort into dressing up in our favourite book characters. We read lots of story and loved seeing our friends and teachers dressed up.
In DT we have been learning about a balanced diet and what are healthy and unhealthy foods. We created our own pizza and made sure it had something on from every food group so it was nice and balanced.
After we made and cooked them we had a try of some ingredients that we have never tried before. Some we liked and others we didn’t. Then we enjoyed eating the pizza. It was very yummy.
In Maths we have been doing a lot of work on fractions. Rowan class have picked this up very well! Mrs Franklin brought in a lovely cake and we had to tell her which fraction/ slice of cake was bigger.
After all the hard work was done we were able to enjoy some of the yummy chocolate cake!
In Science we have been learning about the cycles of a plant. We then completed some work in our books and then had a practical lesson where we cut up or ate some apples. We then planted the seeds and sun flower seeds in clear cups so we could watch the process of the flowers growing.
This children loved this activity!
