Croft Community School is a specialist setting for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and autism. Our SEND Information Report explains the support available for pupils, how needs are identified and reviewed, how families are involved in decision making and how pupils are supported to make progress and prepare for adulthood.
At Croft Community School, we believe every pupil deserves an ambitious, personalised education that enables them to achieve their full potential. We celebrate individual strengths, remove barriers to learning and prepare pupils for successful, fulfilling adult lives.
All pupils have identified special educational needs. We use information from EHCPs, teacher assessments, observations and advice from external professionals to identify needs, monitor progress and plan appropriate support. Provision is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet each pupil’s needs.
We value parents and carers as key partners in their child’s education. Families are involved through annual reviews, EHCP meetings, parents’ evenings, regular communication and transition planning. We work closely together to ensure the best possible outcomes for every pupil.
Preparation for adulthood is embedded throughout our curriculum. We support pupils to develop:
Transition planning begins early and is reviewed regularly to help pupils prepare for their future.
We aim to resolve concerns quickly and positively.
