STEM Activities in Birch!

As part of our STEM day we have been putting our engineer hats on and we have had to work as a team to combat problems.
First we had to blow a balloon up and attach it to a star that was on some string and identify how each team could get their balloon to the end quickest. We then had to identify any materials that could possibly make the balloon travel faster.
We then worked in groups to build a bridge using limited resources to help support a car. The children were ask to work in team and decide as a group what method would be most beneficial.
