Hi all, I have entered us into a virtual sports competition against other schools. The exciting part – it can all be done at home. AND adults can enter. Lets get Croft at the top of the leaderboard!! You can enter as many adults as you like and we will try to get as many students doing the activities right from p1-p15! You can also get siblings to do it!
To take part…..
Challenge 1 – how many times can you keep a ball off the floor without dropping it. Reception, Y1,2,3 can use a balloon!
RULES: • No Catching • If the balloon or ball touches the floor…. challenge over • Your score is how many times you touch the balloon or ball to keep it up
Challenge 2 – how far can you stand from a target and still hit it
RULES: • Set up a target (4-pint milk bottle or something of a similar size). • Start standing close and throw a tennis ball (or other small ball) at your chosen target. • Each time you hit the target move further away. • Your score is the furthest distance you have managed to hit your chose target from recorded in cm/m (e.g. 5.86m)
challenge 3 – how many times can you throw a ball at the wall and catch it without dropping it. Primary can let the ball bounce before they catch it. Secondary need to use one hand!!
Challenge 4 – how long can you hold a one foot balance for?
RULES: • Perform the one-foot balance specified for your age group • Your score is the time (in seconds/minutes) you are able to hold your one-foot balance for!
*One-foot stand on floor balance for Pre School / Reception *One-foot stand on cushion balance for Year 1/2 *One-foot stand on floor (on tip toe) for Years 3/4/5/6 *One-foot stand on floor with eyes closed for Year 7 and over
challenge 5 – how many star jumps can you do in 60 seconds?
challenge 6 – photography challenge – take a photo of something that makes you smile – it could be a view, pet, moment in time or something that makes you laugh! Send it to www.sedgfieldssp.org.uk
